Start a Program - Additional FAQs

How do I know what activities to do, and how do I explain the science?  Create your own curriculum (our Experiment Exchange website is a great resource), or buy one of our proven, turn-key camp or class units and we’ll walk you through it.

How do I get customers?  There are lots of free ways to market a STEM program – leverage your school, church or neighborhood connections, advertise on social media, participate in festivals and community events, list your programs in local class and camp directories. . . .

What about all the legal, insurance, accounting stuff?  This isn’t as scary as it seems.  Our free startup guides will you walk you through most of this, and your local business community can get you to the finish line.

What is a reasonable timeline?  If you really focused on it, you could be up and running with a small program in a month or two.  The timeline will be driven by your resources (time, money and level of expertise) and the demands of the marketplace.
